Abstract

From the textual research into Cervantes plays, absolutely essential to elaborate critical editions which still we lack, a series of results —undoubtedly surprising— can be deduced from this that we will have to bear in mind: as the existence of two editions of the Numancia and the Trato de Argel added as novelty by Antonio de Sancha to his Viage al Parnaso (Madrid, 1784): the use of unequivocally Cervantine expressions in the Conquista de Jerusalén; or the three states and two issues of Ocho comedias y ocho entremeses (Madrid, 1615). There is still a lot to be done about the task of fixing Cervantes dramatic texts.
